Yep Valentines day is just around the corner! and for some of us it can be a depressing time, whether you have a loved one or not!...Some of you are lucky enough to have a partner who remembers this occassion every year and smothers you in chocolates, cards and pressies! (Please share him with us all! lol!) But for most of us, that just is NOT the case!...So to avoid that horrible feeling of being TOTALLY depressed on this special day...Let's plan ahead!

I have started buying pressies for my family...and one present is rather unusual in more ways than one!...for a kick off it is a chair! Hmmm! A rather unusual present I hear you cry...but my Hubby is a one off guy! and a chair he wants!
But a pressie for my hubby it is and he wanted this mustard Philippe Starck Kartell Master's Chair from the fabulous KONTENTA Website.
It is so comfortable to sit in, plenty of room and so sturdy in design! It will be going into his bedroom, where I have decided to let him choose his own decor (lol)...he has chosen a plethora of tweeds, oranges, greens and mustards for in there and whilst he is convalescing in hospital (you can catch up with the latest news about my Freddy on my facebook page!) I shall be decorating his bedroom for him, so it will be all ready for his return...
...and whilst it will be an unusual pressie to wrap! wrap it I will...so that he can open it on Christmas Day...even though it will take two of us to carry it into hospital!
Have you bought any unusual presents for people for Christmas this year? or indeed any year? what was the most unusual pressie you have ever asked for?

One of my best presents that I received on Christmas day was this lovely stylish Dyson hot and cold fan from Here at Argos. Now you know that I have been suffering from hot flushes of late ;) and boy have I been moaning about it a lot...no I mean Reeeeeealllly a LOT! I always seem to be boiling hot when everyone else is freezing cold!
So this fan was the perfect present for all of us really!...apart from the fact it looks really funky, it also has no blades, which is very handy if you have little children or stupid dogs! (max tends to put his head up really close to a normal blade fan and tries to lick the air! which can be really scarey lol!)
...But this little number has none of that hassle...it also has a remote, so if I am having a lazy day on the sofa...I do not have to get up to turn it on or off and if I am particularly hot, I can put it on the coldest and then sit on the button and swear blind that i do not know where the remote is to turn it down :D
On the other hand in the mornings when it is Freeeeezing cold, because I am in control of the central heating (or rather I am the only one that has read the instruction book!) I turn it on to hot to take the chill off before the central heating kicks in.
I am really pleased with it as it is very economical to run too, even though the initial expense is a bit on the pricey side (Thank you Mum) It is such a brilliant piece of kit, I felt I had to blog about it!
What was your favourite pressie that you received at Christmas?
