A Collage Artist - Freddy Harris

I love the Collage Artist, Freddy Harris...well of course I do, he is my Hubby! So I have added here just a selection of my favourite pieces that he has created over this year! I hope you love them as much as I do...and that they give you plenty of inspiration to create something just as wonderful...

A few of them have been created whilst he has been waiting for an operation on his knee...he has had to have plenty of rest and has been confined to his bed...hence his art station is now in our bedroom...there is so much in this room now...our decluttering has all gone out the window and it wont be too long before we are going to need an alternative storage solution for everything...I have so got to pull my socks up if we are going to get straight by Christmas!

There are lots of hidden meanings in his work and he covers many different subjects.

HAPPY'S DECLUTTERING PICTURES

french mannequin
Well guys and gals...I have started the cull...slowly slowly sorting through my belongings, making piles of 'to go's' and 'to stays' and also piles of 'not sure's'...it is very difficult, because most of the things I have got, I really love...so really I want to keep everything, but through fear of getting buried underneath all this loveliness...some things have simply got to go!

vintage french enamel
So rather than show you all the mess i have made! and honestly! there has been plenty of that! I thought I would show you some new pictures of the things that I have kept and the new arranging of them...so the above picture has been taken from the cold house, where I make my jewellery...it also houses my washing machine and tumble dryer in there...I have stuck to a mainly red white and blue theme...I love all my French and British tins...I haven't been able to part with any of them...well not yet anyway!
happy loves rosie style
hahaha...s'cuse the dust...I took the pic above before I had dusted everything...rotten job, but someone's gotta do it ay!
vintage rose glasses
...and you can slap my wrists if you want..but I have been buying in some lovely beauties that I just cannot resist lately! I know! I can hear you telling me that is not the point of a clearout! but I just couldn't resist these (above) lovely vintage rose glasses, they are a set of six and in perfect condition and..well! I have got rid of quite a few other odd one's, so surely I am allowed a few newbies!?!?
vintage french tins
My next challenge is the shelf below...it all needs sorting out, as the first aid tin has nothing in it and the bread bin is a first aid tin OoOOp's, so its all a bit confusing and although it looks quite pleasing to the eyes...it's just need a general sort out and shape up!

Anyways...I'll keep you all updated with this cull as the weeks progress.

What have you been up to this week?
Speak soon my lovelies xx

I LOVE MY PLOOMS

red plooms pen
The other day I was sent this beautiful pen by the lovely Sally at PLOOMS, her company designs and sells these divine ink pens that come in five different colours...naturally you would of guessed that I wanted the red one!
red plooms
These days what with the internet, we tend to communicate through emails and texting, hardly anything is handwritten anymore...which is such a shame...
plooms fountain pen
Sally is trying to get people to fall in love with writing again and with her pens...well it's hard not too! These are beautiful ink pens, they are solid and weighty and the ink glides on to the paper with ease,..
(PLOOMING: verb: to handwrite a message in ink and photograph it)

Some words need to be written in ink, so next time you want to say something special

Don't Just Text it - PLOOM it

...And never forget the power of the written word!

Happy's Weekend Favourites

anchor fascinator
(love this fascinator click here to purchase)
Here's something I haven't done in a while...and that is, showing you all what I am in Love with at the moment...perhap's there is something here that you have bought recently too, or perhaps there will be something here to inspire you and make you want to run to the shops...so here goes...

Yes it's true...I have been drooling over this Cath Kidston range for a while now...I simply love the 'Clocks' range...it reminds me of an old 1950's kitchen pattern and the colour's are so cheery...I have bought myself a few new items in this range just this week...a good time to buy as well as all of this range is now at 40% off!

LANVIN happy necklace
I am also in love with this beautiful Lanvin HAPPY Necklace...
Fancy a designer brand 'Biggin' Up' the Happy Love!...Just a snip at £650.00!
(funny! but the actual font of this necklace is pretty similar to the way I have been signing off my name for the past couple of years too! Weird dat!:)
rose temporary tattoo
Isn't this tattoo incredible!...and if I told you it was a temporary tat would you believe me? Ideal for a special occassion, a night out with the gals or to try before you go the whole hog and get yourself tattoo'ed for life...This shop on Etsy has been a favourite of mine for a while and I just had to share with all of you...please go check her out...she even has 'Happy' tattoo's too ;).
customise cartoon portrait
Now this is something so cute and special...This Company has some amazing prints, for which you can purchase and instantly download yourself...so you can buy, print and frame yourself all in no time at all! But best of all, you can choose this print above and choose the hair colour and features to suit yourself, therefore creating a one-off piece of artwork for your home...isn't this just fantastic!

Well there we are my lovelies.
I hope you have enjoyed my weekend fav's for this week.
What kinds of things have you been buying lately?

Decorating your Vintage Caravan

fresh flowers vintage caravan
Back when we bought our Vintage Caravan in 2009 they weren't that popular...well people still went away on holiday in them, but people never really just bought one to have in their garden to 'play in'! But since 2009 it has been rather a phenomenon and now peeps are buying them to decorate and use for a bit of extra space for the kids, or a craft studio, which ours was originally used for...
inside Happy's Vintage Caravan
Now, Freddy has told me that I can have it...originally it was his art studio! so just lately I have been in there, sprucing it up...you know giving it a clean and finding things that had been squirreled in there for safe keeping, for me to think that I had lost it!
Happy's green Holivan Caravan
Really the caravan lends itself to the summer months...but it is also lovely sitting in there with a nice cup of Rosey Lea and a couple of biscuits whiling away an afternoon....just reading a book or lying on the bed and listening to the radio...just getting away from the house and into that place is lovely...even just for an hour...it's like a crafty rest on the beach or a walk in the country...just enough to give your batteries a charge...oh yes it's still the perfect space!
 vintage caravan
So just to let you know...if you are thinking of purchasing one...do it! just make sure it has no damp and no leaks...especially as we are heading for winter now...you wouldn't want to decorate it, only to go in there to charge your batteries and everything is soaking!
outside vintage caravan
If you have a hubby that says it is not a good idea...tell him that is rubbish! especially if he has a man shed! tell him this is your space...it's real fun decorating a caravan in your own style.  Our Holivan has got rather weathered on one side where the sun shines on it and she will have to be repainted...I managed to get a garage door paint in the same green and I will be doing that next.

It's nice to get out in the garden...although this time of year there is a lot to do according to Alan Titchmarsh...but never underestimate a woman with an extremely large hedge trimmer!

For my other caravan {yes I have two} I have been looking at colours and have bought several paints which have all been tested in patches up the side of it...oh it does look well! I suppose eventually it will get too cold to go out there and spruce things up and that's when 'play' will have to stop..but until then I am having lots of fun!

Have you bought a vintage caravan lately?
What style are you decorating it in?
What make is it?
