Embrace Smart Lighting

More and more people are adopting smart home technology as part of their everyday lives. It’s now easy to control your alarms, CCTV cameras, central heating system, and your lighting all from your smart speakers or mobile phone.

Use Downlighters For Highlighting Features

If you want to show off a great piece of furniture, artwork, or another design element in your home, then downlighters are great for this. They draw attention to the area you want but not in a stage spotlight kind of way.

Create Zones In Open-Plan Living Spaces

If you’re living in an open-plan home, it’s tempting to try and find lighting strong enough to light the entire space. Even if you could do this, you don’t want to feel like you’re living in a mall. Instead, create zones within the area, and treat each zone differently, thinking exactly what it’s going to be used for. For example, in the kitchen area, you want a light suitable to do tasks by, whereas in the living room, you want to create a softer lighting scheme.
