  1. Love! Love! Love! the greeting cards! a suggestion that will last for 25 days. Prior to our 25th I gathered 25 small gifts, $5.00 and under and wrapped each one differently and placed them in a pretty basket with bow. then starting with the Anniversary my husband picked one to open each day till they were gone. It would even be more fun if both of you did this! mcreatesdaily.blogspot.com

  3. Wow 25 years. Well it is a silver wedding anniversary, how about loaning an airstream [since it is silver]. And tour the UK, why do you need to go abroad!! And visit all the places you have wanted to go to or held the most special memories to you and your family.

  4. How about a picnic under the skeleton of the huge dinosaur in the Natural History Museum? A bright table cloth laden with flowers and cakes and bubbly, signifying the blooming health of your relationship with Freddy and declaring that LOVE is not dead!! Hurrah! Sharonx

  6. aahhh congratulations 25 years is wonderful. Those cards are so pretty your home is just gorgeous i just love the colours and patterns. I would say a pretty vintage garden party with all your friends and family. Why you don't you have an old vintage record player and play all your favourite records and dance around. Or bath has some beautiful places to stay my friend and i stayed at Queen Charlottes Orangery its beautiful and very small in Sept it cost us £100 each for 2 nights. You could then treat yourselfs to a morning in the bath spa and then have afternoon tea in the pump rooms. Check out the website for the hotel its www.queencharlottesorangery.com Its just a joy to look at the photo's if nothing else. dee xx

  7. I'll be reading all the suggestions as its only 3 years till my 25th WA.

My suggestion - why go anywhere else - big up Blighty - so suggesting a proper seaside break - come of Suffolk and to Southwold in particular - hire a beach hut on the prom, build sandcastles and play the silly machines on the Pier - oh and eat chips & ice-cream but not together.

  8. Beautiful cards!
Yes, a trip to Bath would be lovely or how about a trip to Whitstable. Love that place! Great shops on Harbour Street; fab restaurants; yummy, yummy oysters and fish; pretty old fashioned Beach Huts on Tankerton and it makes an excellent base to explore nearby Margate, (Tate), and Canterbury. I can recommend a lovely holiday apartment if you're interested and its very reasonable too. What ever you do, have a wonderful time!
    Take care,
    Sue xxx

  9. You have the luck of living in Blighty, so why not visit the flea market that impressed me for all time? Camden Market! That's where I purchased my first silver toast rack on my honeymoon (yes, there is now a toast rack collection, often purchased in US shops where they think the racks are "letter holders") You could look for silver pieces to mark your 25th!

  10. Thank you for these lovely cards and congratulations for your 25th anniversary!

Maybe it's a good idea to visit places where you spent your honeymoon?

Anyway, I wish you all the best :)

  11. Leading up to the date of your anniversary, how about each of you write 10 letters and or create 10 pieces of meaningful art for each other. Places you have been, your best memories, what you love about each other. Take 5 of the items and for the four days prior and the day of you each get to exchange one of these pieces created by two brilliant artists/writers ;-). Then save the other ones for the next 5 years until you get to the 30th! A nice dinner and anything else is icing on the cake! Of course if you can afford to come over to America, you probably have enough readers who would love to put you up and show you around all kinds of places in the U.S. other than the craziness you see on T.V.! (Hint,Hint ;-) Good Luck and congratulations!

I am Canadian but my husband is Irish from North London, and we are meeting his family for a big Irish summer holiday this early August! Why don't you rent a cottage in Ireland and do small day trips to the beautiful sights all over Ireland! We'll be in Wicklow in early August. Meet us there!

  17. ooh love those lovely cards! and how excited that your going to celebrate your 25th wedding anniversary! all the lovely ladies up there have great ideas/suggestion, not sure if i have one but maybe make about 25 memorable items and hide it in the house for your husband to find with a clue or direction to the next item would be? and once all items found or the last item (the 25th item) would be a note saying perhaps meet you somewhere nice for dinner or a place where you guys first met? hehehe

I have put your button on my blog side bar and i do hope i'll win the lovely giveaway!

  18. Just added your button to my blog sidebar. Love the way you put colors together. I first read about your site in Blogging for Bliss a few years ago. Now I have taken the blogging plunge myself. For your anniversary.....perhaps recreate your first date or a favorite date/event from over the years. Would at least be good for a few laughs and some happy memories.

  22. happy soon to be anniversary. We always like to getaway in our vintage travel trailer 'The Pearl' to the coast. Camping anytime of the year makes our hearts skip a beat and doesn't break the bank! You could go to your favorite place whether it be an icecream shop or a pub...a place that carries memories from your many years together. If I won your cards they would sure make me happy! I collect stationary and I actually still write letters. oxox

  24. I absolutely LOVE your blog - I am so happy to have stumbled upon it. You have inspired me to put more colour into my life.
As to 25th anniversary - Congratulations! My most favourite spot in the world is Positano in Italy. Drive the Amalfi coast, walk the narrow streets, eat the pasta, sample the ice-cream, drink the wine, dip your toes in the sea, buy some stunning pots, etc! Fairly cheap flights to Naples and such a truly romantic spot. Should still be warm in October. Whatever you do - be happy. xxx
