I picked a mighty fine time to do a blog tonight! apart from the fact it is a full moon! Men are affected by this! did you know? we have our monthlies and men are ruled by the moon!...so with this knowledge I went to bed early to do a blog, leaving, a sure to be in a bad mood soon! Freddy downstairs watching the TV!...BAD idea!! You see lately I have been sorting out my pictures, as I take about 5 of each shot!
to make sure I get a good'un each time! but they are now in such a mess that I cannot find what I am looking for at the moment....so I have had a look through all of them...scrolling down rather quickly, there are about 25,000 OUCH!...and now it is midnight! and I have still not done the job I set out to do! I think perhaps this full moon milarkie is getting to me!

I had better start taking my vitamins that I insisted on buying the other day...as now the darker nights are creeping in (which I HATE!) I feel rather lifeless!...the garden is looking kinda dowdy and boring....I'll have to buy some pretty plants that will last through the winter as our garden looked wonderful through spring and summer!...Having said that! these wonderful mauve daisies are still out there trying to survive! even though we have alot of slugs in the garden...do they die off in winter? I hope so! (the slugs I mean LOL!)

This is also doing welll...that bull rushy thing...Oh I can't for the life of me remember what it is called atm! but it is taking over at the end of the garden...I thought it had been killed off through the summer, but now it is in its element! I didnt like it when we first moved here...but now, it has grown on me :) ha ha ha!

Maxi has been a little devil lately too...after a bath the other day, he went out and rolled in the grass and came in looking like this Grrrr! still! Rosie did wash him in Pina Colada doggy shampoo! hehehe! and there is another picture that I wanted to show you, but I can't find it goodnes knows what I have done with it!....anyway the very next day he went into the garden and started digging! Hmmm! yes! as you can imagine he came in with dirty paws and a mouth full of weebles! Yuk!

He's trying to look cute, so that I can't be cross with him! LOL! No please! Please! don't fall into his trap!...he has been playing silly blighters all week with Rosie!

..Its a bit outta focus...but he was being silly again...he is a real character! even though he has to be washed several times a week for rolling around in the mud! LOL! We wouldn't have him any other way :D

Speak soon gals

Love Happy x

NB...Apparently although it looked like a full moon Friday and last night, it is not officially a full moon until tonight! (Sunday 4th October 2009!) Eek!!! So if your Hubby's or partner's have been a little 'tetchy' over this weekend!...Might be best to go out tonight with the girls!....I know I will be! xxx

  2. Your postings always make me smile. I feel like I'm standing across the fence from you chatting while hanging out our laundry. Gotta love the pooch. Come see me some time at Once Upon a Fairyland...if you like a few gnomes, dolls and such and pups...I'm over here in Washington!

  3. I think it must have been full moon over here for the last two weeks. Maybe that'd account for hubby's bad mood and not his assignment he's trying to write.

  4. I noticed the moon too, last night! Beautiful, wasn't it? Our elder son has a telescope and he was grumbling that, as it was a school day the next day, he wouldn't be able to stay up with the telescope. That is one advantage of the longer nights - he gets to start his astronomy earlier!

I take loads of photos for each shot too, but I try (try) to be ruthless and save only one. Doesn't always work...

  8. Oh I love Maxi! So cute! One of my most favorite things in the world to see is a guilty look on a doggy's face! They are so expressive! Our dog tells on herself all the time. ☺

  11. Boy, when I saw the title "Full Moon" I didn't know if we were going to see your other end or not!

You said, "I'll have to buy some pretty plants that will last through the winter as our garden looked wonderful through spring and summer!." How about some silk/fake flowers? From a distance they look very real!

I've been told that those bull-rushy things have roots that 'go down to China'. I hope yours doesn't.

How can we not comment on Max's devilish ways? It is hard to get mad at such a little cutie!

Oh, (sorry this is long)I buy those "daylight" light bulbs to help with the impending darkness - I think they help!

  13. I do believe your "really bushy thing" is a variagated ivy. They will grow up to the heavens if you don't stop them. Your doggy is such a cutie-pie. Too late. I already fell for it (him) big time!

  14. I hate the winter too - it feels kinda cosy for a couple of days but soon get fed up with it! Your dog is seriously cute. By that bull rushy thing, do you mean Pampas grass? Enjoy your weekend x

  15. Hi Happy, I love full moon's they seem ever so romantic to me oooohhhh. I usually go to the garden centre about end of April that way you get to pick the best plant's i.e.sweet peas and lavender but, don't plant them out till middle of May then they flower through till October just pick as many sweet peas as you can to stop them going to seed. Cut the lavender about August time when it's flowered. A s for roses and hydrangeas I think I'd plant them in the Spring but if anyone knows differently I'm sure they'll let you know hun. Love your little Max He's like a little snowball...Keep smiling love Lucey xx Thank's for visiting me....

  16. That full moon thing...my hubby definately is affected by it and the poor chap doesn't even know it! Had a mini-meltdown on me Saturday and didn't talk for several hours...which was just as well because the whole thing was so darn funny (the reason he was mad) that I might have burst out laughing!!! He got over it and the moon thing passed.

LOVE the spider on the nose trick! Will have to teach that one to our pooch.

    Stay happy!
