  35. Bargain hunting is my main life skill! Haha! My absolute best bargain was on a carboot hunt with my lovely mum about 8 years ago - we were having a good old rootle at a local school boot sale and came across the funniest little teddy, all battered up in the bottom of a suitcase. He had the funniest little face I've ever seen on a bear, (you know when somethings so ugly that its kinda cute?) so I showed my mum, who quickly ushered me towards the stallholder who said ''Oh that old thing.. £1?'' SOLD! Got him home, did our research - turns out he's an original Merrythought 'Cheeky' bear! Worth a tiny fortune! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Well, bear-holder! Haha! x x x PS have popped your button the my blog!

When my sister was little my mom found an American Girl Doll for her at a thrift store. I think she paid maybe $3 for that. Crazy!

  42. Hmmmm I do seem to find some great bargains, but some of this years scoops have been some Back to School graph square pads that were out for 20c each.....and some small writing pads also for 20c each....then there was the op shop bargain....I found myself some metre-age of cotton fabric (about 3 metres all up) and about 5 pairs of kids summer trousers to turn into cute handbags, all for the bargain price of $1.40 Aud and the trousers were 20c a pair, so 40c for 3 metres of fabric was a steal...no? I think it was....lol Off to add your button onto my blog sidebar now. Hugs Naomi

  45. Whew. After many tries and searching online for the answer, I FINALLY figured out how to add your gadget to my blog.

The best bargain I ever found was the 1940's suit black, white and green houndtooth womans suit that I got married in. A friend had renters that moved out in the middle of the night and left a bunch of stuff. My friend let me paw through the stuff and I found 6 bark cloth curtain panels. My friend didn't want them so I traded them straight across at a vintage store for my wedding suit. Great bargain, don't you think?
