Today was a great day!...for we were invited by friends of ours, Margaret & Maddie to their annual twice a year Garden Sale and we were in heaven!...Its held in Margaret's house which is sooo beautiful, a Georgian Mansion with ambling gardens and out buildings to die for...needless to say this was the perfect setting.

These ladies buy for this event all year...adding to the collection week by week and placing it in an eclectic array of colours and themed settings....

we were invited over today (saturday) one day early as the sale starts sunday...I am so glad we were, as apparently people queue around the block in anticipation of them opening their gates...I don't think I would of liked to of fought hammer and tongs for items that today we leisurely picked out.

I have always said its not what you know - but who you know....and its definitely the case here, for we had an extremely lovely time, sipping lime cordial....in the hot summer sun....whilst adding more and more to our pile!

We took many photographs for our blogs with the promise of letting everyone know where it was...but sitting in the car a little later, picking our daughter up from her Art GCSE exam, (well done Rosie!), we decided that it should be our little secret...(sorry folks!)

...And even later this evening we had to ring Margaret up again so that they could reserve us some other pieces...you see we just couldn't live without the 1950's kitchen cabinet and that wonderful 1930's mannequin!

Thank you Margaret and Maddie...for inviting us and adding us to your friends and family list, we had such a lovely time meeting everyone including Tosca and Truffle, you have a lovely home and exquisite taste and we are sooo looking forward to the next sale....keep up the good work! xx

Luv Happy xx

  3. Wow how absolutely fantastic..I dont know how you restrained yourself I think I would need a moving lorry and an even bigger mortgage! It all looks so wonderful I dont blame you in the least to keep it a secret, it would spoil it if everybody came from everywhere and I'm sure that would bump up the prices too. Lucky you, thats all I'll say!!!
