Mother’s Day shouldn’t be the only day of the year you spoil your mum, but it should certainly be one of them. Mother’s Day is a great reason to plan something fun for you and your mum to do together to not only spend time together but show her how much you appreciate her. If you’re a bit strapped for cash and can’t afford anything too extravagant, then staying in is a great idea. Why not plan a 3-course family meal together and spend the day cooking and baking? This is a fun activity-based thing that will give you two plenty of time together. If cooking isn’t her thing, maybe make a home cinema with popcorn and snacks and watch all her favourite movies. Maybe you’re from a bigger family, in which case, why not invite everyone around and plan a whole day together.  With Mother’s Day falling on March 31st, spring should well and truly be in the air. Why not plan some outdoor activities in your garden like games and competitions that all ages can be involved in. To top it all off, if the weather permits, a BBQ would be a fun way for everyone to have good laugh together.

This Mother’s Day, instead of reaching for those generic chocolates, why not plan something a little more exciting and memorable for both you and your mum.
