Summer Garden Shopping Finds

I have been out and about recently, booting and routing! and have found these wonderful items for our garden….look above and check out that deckchair! I only paid £2.00 for it and it looks lovely sitting there in the corner of our nook – don’t you think? I have covered it with vintage union jack tea towels and thrown a granny blanket on it, to make it cosy for anyone wishing to sit there.

I have also managed to wonderful geraniums and all different plants for a minimal amount of ‘dosh’! and also managed to pick up this lovely low Barbecue, which doubles up as a fire for chillier evenings!

I have also been lucky enough to spot these wonderful brooches, which will make ideal christmas presents for the older members of my family 🙂

…and below, look at those wonderful blue spot seat covers…all found at my local booty!

…and below, is a wonderful wicker chair that we all fight over to sit in! I spotted this in a local scond hand shop…oOoOh I love being thrifty!

I even managed to get these crocs for a bargain price…I love them for the garden, they are the perfect shoes…apart from when I forget that I haven’t got my wellies on! and trundle into the stinging nettles at the back of the garden!

I hope you like our garden…it really is a pleasure to sit out there these days!

…Another wonderful purchase was this umbrella, during our move, we had lost the other end to our red and white spotty, cath kidston brolly…so that weekend, we were lucky enough to pick up this wind down umbrella for £5.00!

I have managed to find tin pots, butler sinks, cast iron pots, crates and all sorts….perfect for planting…do remember that you can also kit out your garden in this thrifty way, you just have to have your wits about you…when everyone else is looking on the tables…look on the floor! thats where the wonders for the garden are!

The weeds and grass are coming through on our patio now…but a friend has suggested getting a weed wizard, which saves your back and burns them away forever! apparently! so I’ll let you know how I get on with that when it arrives.

…and YES I am back…my computer died, after 3 years of using it everday! so I have put it in the loft and said a few prayers…as it is now is in computer heaven!….and as I was so lost without it, my lovely mum has bought me a shiny new one…

THANK YOU SO MUCH MUMMY XXX

Have a great weekend gals…Ill be back in the middle of next week…as I am driving down to Minehead this weekend on my own! (I am rather nervous – wish me luck!) that is the furthest I have ever driven on my own, but I am going to visit my lovely friend Jax, who moved to Somerset over a year ago now and I have only seen her once, so its the wonderful treat at the end of this long drive, that is making me do it…and I will be so proud of myself!

See you all soon and have a lovely weekend!

freedom of the road! you'll be hooked! no complaints about what's on the iPod, no-one nicking your favourite sweets whilst you're concentrating, and no men to moan when we girls like to stop because something looked interesting along the way! Hope you had fun. We always look under tables – it's how we found all our door handles! tool boxes are a dream! t.x (I just learned to carry a travel pack of hand wipes for all the oil and grease!)
