A Sneak Peak into Happy's House

A lot of time has passed since i last invited you into my home and in that time I have added some new purchases and got rid of some others and over that time things have changed...it has been a while since I have taken any pictures, as you know my Nikon camera died on me and I am coping with a little cheap one...I don't really like the pictures it takes but thank goodness for photoshop!

HAPPY TREATS FOR OUR DOGGIES

I have pinched these pictures and recipes from HERE as I wanted to share these with you all, you see, at my local Boot Fair there is a lady selling delicious doggy treats, she only charges 50p each for them and as you can imagine...Max loves them...sometimes she is not there, or I miss her and when I arrive home without them he sulks and doesn't speak to me for a good few hours...Bless :D

He especially loves the Peanut Butter Bones that I buy for him and here is a similar recipe that is on the link for the piccie above...I might even try these myself, I know Max will love me all the more for it....I would just shape them into bone shapes or I am sure there is a bone cookie cutter out there somewhere...

HOMEMADE PEANUT BUTTER AND BANANA DOG TREATS

The parsley in these treats makes them a secret breath freshener for your pooch; substitute dried mint for half of the parsley, if you like. Don't hesitate to adjust the size of the treats to accommodate very small or very large dogs, baking them a few minutes less or a few minutes more, as needed.

Ingredients:
  • 1 banana, peeled
  • 1 cup oat flour
  • 2/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup dried parsley
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 egg, beaten

Preheat oven to 300°F. Put banana in a large bowl and use a spoon or potato masher to mash it thoroughly. Add oat flour, oats, parsley, peanut butter and egg and stir well to combine. Set aside for 5 minutes.

Roll mixture into 24 balls, using about 1 tablespoon dough for each; transfer to a large parchment paper-lined baking sheet as done. Use the back of a spoon or the heel of your hand to press each ball into a (1 1/2- to 2-inch) coin. Bake until firm and deep golden brown on the bottom, 40 to 45 minutes. Set aside to let cool completely.

Storage note: It's best to store these in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Or, freeze them to give to your pal later; just be sure to thaw the treats befor handing them out.

WooooooF...Now doesn't that sound Yum Yum.
I am not sure about the Banana, as I think that would make them, not last as long, so I think i will leave it out...but anyways, have a go, at least you will know what is in them, better than all the rubbish that you hear; goes into doggy treats ay!

There is also plenty of other recipes on this site...in fact it is a good informational website for a whole host of things...

Now look who's Happy :D
If you have any delicious doggy treat recipes...
Please share with us on the comments page,
I would love that :D

Bye for now my lovelies xx

Moroccan Style

I have been meaning to tell you about a few purchases I have made lately...they are not my usual style, but fit in so perfectly with the Happy Shabby look, I don't know why I have never thought of combining the two looks before...

Yes it's Moroccan Style and I first discovered this lovely website when I was cyber shopping with my cousin looking for bohemian items for her Chelsea Apartment....
I was instantly 'In Love' with these delightful Tea Glasses, cerise and decadent gold, they are the perfect size for my favourite Brandy and Lemonade tipple hic ;D, they also look good just on their own for a display along your country dresser or retro kitchen unit.

I also purchased the slippers and this rather lovely red leather Pouffe from their selection of Moroccan pouffe, which was much bigger than I expected it to be, the slippers are so cute and the Pouffe, is a great 'extra seat' for when we have a full house...

My lovely Cousin, bought this delightful Wrought Iron Wooden Framed Mirror, I would of liked it too...but a gal can dream ay! I would of painted mine white and ruined it in her eyes, so probably best that I couldn't afford it ;D

I really do love this website, there is still so many things that I would love to purchase, including these wonderful Tagines...
So what are you waiting for? Go and have a look through the shops Moroccan Décor
and I bet you will be smitten too...

Blythe Doll Kitsch

....And isn't she lovely!
...I found her at a Car Boot Sale in Essex, whilst I was visiting my Mum!....it was actually quite late in the morning when I set my eyes upon her!....and I instantly fell in love!

She has those wide eye Blythe features
, a pretty haircut and a silk scarf with pretty little bows in her hair...The lady that I bought her from told me that she is from the 1960's and as if I wasn't going to buy her anyway...she said the magic word...Kitsch! lol! "she is soooo kitsch", she said....and there I was! smitten! handing over my (what seemed measly) pound for such a cute little girly!
....And her she is in full glory...she sits on a musical stall, wearing this pretty pink dress and is holding a pretty bunch of tulips....she is to die for...she also has little pink plastic shoes, but I need to stick them on, as they keep falling off, so I have put them away somewhere safe until then :)

What do you think of her?

Bye for now my luverlies xx
