News!

Oh dear...! doesn't crafting make your house untidy!...I wanted to do it in the Dining Room for some reason...! Not a good idea as look what mess I got into!...you see the thing is I have to work in a tidy place - so that I can have a clear mind...I made all this mess in about half an hour...and then my brain was all fuzzy...and I couldn't think what else to make....I did have fun though!

Its great isn't it when you get to use the things that you have spent a life time buying!...and what with my love for buttons...I have finally found a way to use them all - Check out my website!...HAPPY LOVES ROSIE

Ooooh and do check out Vintage Indie

I have had an article published in their magazine....A new section entitled 'My Vintage pad' if you have a few minutes to spare it might be worth having a look...theres a few extra's in there that you might not know about me!!

Here are some pictures of the outside of our house...it is rather modern and probably nothing like you would of expected...but because it is by the water, it makes for a Happy abode!

We live in one of the three story town houses on the left hand side....and yes that building that they have built next to us does look rather like IKEA, but its actually apartments!...and next to it is a working boatyard where they load up freight to be sent all over the world!

And this is the other side of the Bridge...yes you actually come over a bridge to get onto our Island....and theres some lovely boats there!....and below is an old boatyard structure that is listed...it was built by the same guy that built Alexandra Palace...Paxman is it?...OOh I cant remember right now...but its view I can see from my house....its a lovely place to live, it kinda feels like you are on holiday all the time.....I just felt that it would be the right time to let you see it....what with the Vintage Indie Interview and all that....Have a lovely weekend gals...Luv Happy x

Its a sad day!

Its a sad day today...for Fred's World Blog is no more!

Fred decided to delete his blog yesterday! He just wasn't interested in it anymore!....He will however be posting on this blog occasionally...so you will still be able to catch up with his escapades and thoughts....in good Ole Fred stylie!

So you could say that we have amalgamated the two....we are now one big 'Happy' family here at 'HAPPY LOVES ROSIE'....and will continue to bring you HAPPY styling techniques and tips...as well as everything else that we love and do.

Goodbye FREDSWORLD....Hello HAPPY LOVES ROSIE xx

Do you remember......!

Hi folks, I was watching Richard and Judy's new show and they were talking about the original High School Musical 'Grease'....and as they started to play music from it, it made me start to remember the fact that I went to see it 5 times on the trot! yes I loved it and was hopelessly in love with John Travolta, so I just had to add it too my blog....Enjoy!

Luv Hay x

How many times did you go and see it?

Hi ya!

We are still here....just very busy at the moment...
We are busy ferrying the kids around to their exams...and interviews, brittany as you know has taken 3 GCSE'S at the age of 14! and recently she has had an interview to start an NVQ in hairdressing in October...Yes ladies, we are in the UK and she is being taught what she wants to learn and is doing really well...You know I am biased!...I hated school myself and am not in favour of sending her to school, even though darryl has sailed through Grammar school it was not for Rosie!...all that bitchiness, peer pressure and now kids carrying knives, where will it all end!

Daz has also been successful, he has managed to get himself another job in telesales, it is really building his confidence, and after he finishes his exams, which are going really well, he has been offered a full time job....which will give him some money for some extras for when he starts University in October....so everything is coming up rosy for my lovely bright children...Hope everything is going well for your kids too!

Luv Happy x

Horaah for Nice & Easy!

First may I say that I am so chuffed right now!....do you remember the hair situation a few blogs ago!...well I had my hair dyed brown at the Hairdressers (with the help of hairmixer!) for the costly sum of £100+...I know disgusting!! When I was in there a few weeks ago, with Rosie (yet more expense!) I asked how much they would charge me to have another semi-permanent put on my hair! Now bearing in mind they told me at the start that it would be cheaper to maintain for me.....I was told £50.00 thats with NO cut! Just for the roots to be done and the colour to be washed through my hair and then off course a blowdry! well needless to say I was flabberghasted.... I thought it would be more like £20.00 as they did originally say that it would be cheaper for me!

I was clever though! I asked her 'if I wanted to go darker - what shade she would use' and she replied anything warm as now my hair was slightly red!....anything would 'stick' to it! When we left the hairdressers we headed straight for Boots and I bought a Nice & Easy semi permanent in a warm rich brown....and this evening Rosie has applied it to my hair and it has turned out fabulous! and all for a tidy sum of £3.95 and 20 mins of our time!

I feel great! at long last I can dye my hair myself....NO more rip-off hairdressers...just straight in for a cut and blowdry!...how fab!....At last I feel in control!

Luv happy x

UPDATE....THANKS FOR MAKING A COMMENT ON THIS POST GALS! YES THE HAIR WEBSITE WHERE YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY OR LEAVE AN EMAIL ADDRESS IS HAIRMIXER.COM...ITS A GREAT LITTLE SITE, AS IT ENABLED ME TO FIND OUT WHAT I LOOKED LIKE WITH DIFFERENT COLOURED HAIR! I AM SURE THAT I WOULDN'T OF BEEN SO BRAVE TO CHANGE MY HAIR COLOUR FROM BLONDE TO BROWN WITHOUT IT...GOOD LUCK XX

Being Creative in more ways than one!

Hi Girls, I have been very creative these last few weeks, changing my other blogs over...first Hilda Bloom and then Edith & Bella...Hilda Bloom will be a place where I blog about my family history and Edith and Bella will be a place where I have a moan and show you the other things that I love and like...and believe me although my name is Happy...I do love a good 'ole moan & gossip....!

This is the blog header for Hilda Bloom (the pic to the left is one of my mother) :-

I have always had my own style when, creating my digital scrapbooking and craft...I can look at other peoples work and absolutely love it, but when I start creating, I always go back to the bright colours that I love and have to create something that I have never seen before....Its just in my nature!

I have always loved to draw flowers with a black ink outline with white petals in cartoon like adornments....and my love for vintage memories comes through from having a great Mother that can still remember the good old days...telling me and Rosie funny little stories that we love to listen too....you can check out
Hilda Bloom for my vintage memories!

And here is the blog header for Edith and Bella...My Alter ego!

I love how they both turned out.....this style is Sooooo me!
